I was shocked yesterday when we drove by the Frigidaire plant in Dayton, Ohio and saw this:

frigidairedemo

Even though this demolition has been planned for a while, I will still miss this building. I have used it for many photo shoots and documented the abandoned beauty many times before.

The only side of my cousin Robbie that I have come to know is not a serious side. It is usually a side that will make you laugh until you cry. It is rare to capture an image of him like the one below, but when he gets strapped into his 4-wheels of fury and is about to drag race it down a quarter mile track, he gets pretty serious.

Thanks Mom for shooting me shooting Robbie

Every year that I shoot wedding photography, I get the opprotunity to meet some amazing couples. These are the couples that you know are made for each other, just madly in love with each other. The type of couple that motivates you to try and capture some of that passion and love with photography.

Kristen & Dwayne are that type of couple. Here are some of my faves from their recent engagement shoot with me. I am really looking forward to shooting their wedding in December.

Went to Blind Bob’s in the Oregon District (Dayton, Ohio) on Friday to shoot the band, Astro Fang.

It was a ear blasting, beer spilling good time!

I did some work recently for the local Gem City band, Sawed Off. I had them set-up all their equipment on this vacant slab of concrete and we even went inside a building to get some more shots. They were all true sports and it couldn’t have been done without their cooperation, thanks guys!

Jack Pearson – Vocals

Brian Witt – Lead Guitar

Zack Orth – Guitar

Tubby Turner – Bass

Danny Chord – Drums

This was Danny’s idea for the back of the CD. I still can’t believe he offered to lay down in whatever that is! The text will fit nicely on the left side.

Went out yesterday to enjoy some of this fine Spring weather with Oompa, Payton Caudill and Bobby Cole. Of course we were rained out of the location we wanted to shoot, so we retreated to a parking garage in Middletown to shoot Payton BS Smith a trash can:

ps: Oompa threw his arm out of socket doing a street gap so I took him to the ER

Here are some mobile photos from the night:

Standing in the back of Payton’s truck shooting Payton and Oompa attempt a street gap
