I came across a Wii Fit yesterday so I rushed to buy it (weren’t these hard to find not too long ago?). When I got home I set it up and fell in love! What a great tool for keeping fit!

If you are not familiar with it, what it does is keeps you on a workout plan with interactive games. You use the Wii remote and the Wii Fit Baseboard to participate in the games. The Wii Fit will work on your balance and strength and help keep you within a healthy BMI.

I was aware of most of my faults, but one thing I didn’t realize is how much I favor one leg more than the other and how out-align my pelvis is. But no worries, according to the Wii, I will be a better me in no time.

I have been asked by numerous people to re-post my care flight series I shot in August. They were proudly posted on my last blog before they were obliterated, so here they are again…

Story behind the images:

I documented a day in the life series on the men and women that work care flight in Dayton, Ohio. I was there for 16 hours and during that time they really made me feel apart of the team.

With these images I hope to bring some awareness to the dedication that they have to their jobs and community.

We arrived at the hospital and rushed to the cath lab

They began operating immediately on the patient in the cath lab, I was never informed of the outcome.

My first trip in a helicopter, we are on our way to the hanger to wait out a storm.

Here the pilot and the nurses work together to back the helicopter into the hanger

Waiting out the storm means a second to nap before a long night of working their 12 hour shifts

When the storm passed we proceeded back to the hospital where we got a call. We were then on our way into a hospital in Springfield, Ohio, where a homeless man was allegedly hit by a car while on his bike.

Keith Loutit posted a few time lapse videos he made on his blog. He is using a tilt-shift lens to give a very interesting effect.

Wow! What a weekend. It was really really busy and went by way too fast.

I shot the Red Bull Soapbox race on Saturday in Cincinnati, which was an absolute blast! Red Bull put on one hell of a show and they treated their media like royalty. Kristie and I were fed Red Bull all day and were given access to their media platforms to get a better view. Thanks Red Bull!

A photographer that I have always admired has been working on a project documenting TB patients around the world that carry a different type of the disease. They are XDR (Extreme Drug Resistant) Tuberculosis patients.

James Nachtwey and XDRTB.org made a video documenting the disease that is spread amongst 49 countries, I will warn you that it is very sad…

Earlier in the year I was on a good workout plan with my friend Tony Kilby. We would run 4 miles 3-4 times a week. Plus we would walk 2 miles at lunch every weekday too, my metabolism was going crazy and I lost 17 lbs.

Fast forward to now. Even though I was able to maintain my weight, I did lose the workout momentum. Since I started running 2 weeks ago, I am beginning to build up my stamina again and trying to master a good mile jog.

Tonight, I ran my fastest mile since starting backup and I am beginning to regain my motivation to run.

I was just checking my stats for the month of September and my blog has been hit over 11.000 times! I am pretty impressed considering the lack of content yet on here.

On that note, I promise to keep this thing updated with photos and random thoughts to keep everyone interested.
