I have been asked by numerous people to re-post my care flight series I shot in August. They were proudly posted on my last blog before they were obliterated, so here they are again…
Story behind the images:
I documented a day in the life series on the men and women that work care flight in Dayton, Ohio. I was there for 16 hours and during that time they really made me feel apart of the team.
With these images I hope to bring some awareness to the dedication that they have to their jobs and community.

Ground Unit used to backup Helicopter

On our way to another hospital to pick up a heart attack victim in the ground unit

We arrived at the hospital and rushed to the cath lab

They began operating immediately on the patient in the cath lab, I was never informed of the outcome.

My first trip in a helicopter, we are on our way to the hanger to wait out a storm.

Here the pilot and the nurses work together to back the helicopter into the hanger

Waiting out the storm means a second to nap before a long night of working their 12 hour shifts

When the storm passed we proceeded back to the hospital where we got a call. We were then on our way into a hospital in Springfield, Ohio, where a homeless man was allegedly hit by a car while on his bike.

Everyone jumping out of the helicopter to rush the patient into the ER

Directly into the elevator down to the 1st floor and in to the ER
